New Book Alert: Deddeh Knows All About Corona-virus

Monrovia, Liberia- The Kids Educational Engagement Project (KEEP) has completed and launched a picture storybook targeted at children in primary school.

The storybook was developed deliberately with local cultural representation and context to ensure the readers relate for easy comprehension to learn all the important facts about the Corona-virus Pandemic.

The story follows a vivacious 6 year old name Deddeh who knows a lot about the Coronavirus and is eager to teach her younger brother Kokulo all that she knows.

With the support of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), KEEP printed 1900 copies of the books which will be distributed across 5 counties: Gbarpolu, Rivercess, Montserrado, Grand Gedeh, and Bong.

This storybook follows the recent publication by KEEP of an activity and coloring book for early learners concerning the Corona-virus, which was produced and published in June 2020, through a grant from OSIWA. It can also be downloaded at no cost via KEEP’s website.

Deddeh Knows All About Coronavirus was written by KEEP’s founder, Brenda Brewer Moore, and illustrated by Frank Dwuye.
