In today’s fast-changing digital world, computer literacy is no longer optional, it’s essential for education, employment, innovation, and personal growth. Recognizing this, the Kids Educational Engagement Project (KEEP Liberia) continues to invest in young people by expanding access to technology through its KEEP4COLLEGE Computer Literacy Program.
This initiative equips students and young professionals with practical digital skills that build confidence, open doors to opportunities, and prepare them for success in school, the workplace, and beyond.
KEEP4COLLEGE sessions emphasize hands-on, practical learning that goes far beyond simply operating a computer. Students gain skills that help them:
- Access educational resources
- Communicate effectively
- Explore new ideas
- Build a foundation for future careers
Key Areas of Training
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Data Analysis: Excel formulas, dashboards, data management
- Internet Research & AI: Using online tools for productivity
- Email & File Management: Organizing files, cloud storage, professional communication
- Digital Safety: Responsible and secure use of online platforms
KEEP4COLLEGE reflects KEEP’s broader mission: expanding literacy, promoting digital learning, and empowering youth leadership across Liberia. Just as KEEP’s reading rooms inspire children to discover the joy of books, its computer literacy programs help learners unlock the opportunities technology provides.
Every new skill learned represents progress toward greater independence, confidence, and opportunity. Through KEEP4COLLEGE, students are taking meaningful steps toward a future where they can learn, create, communicate, and contribute in an increasingly connected society.
