KEEP To Launch New Book Titled “Living Legends”

Kids Educational Engagement Project (KEEP) Liberia is set to launch its newest book project titled “Living Legends”.

The book project aims to recognize the efforts of known and not-so-known women in our society.

The book is also being published to provide girls and young women, (and even older women) inspiration and motivate those being publicly recognized and give them the recognition they deserve while they are alive.

Too often, we recognize the roles people play in our society after they are dead. We attend their funerals and hail praises on their lifeless bodies. We have set out to praise not dead but living bodies while they can hear the deserved accolades and appreciates the recognition.

This book is a manifestation of our Founder’s wish to recognize the efforts of women we are glad to call living legends, and to further, encourage and motivate them by bringing visibility to some who aren’t so well known, provide inspiration to others and show girls that there is a wide expanse of professions they, too, can explore.

There are paths they, too, can travel.

Living Legends will be published in 2 parts with an overall goal to capture 150 women. Book 1 features 55 women and covers over 25 professions.

In selecting and identifying those being recognized, we sought out recommendations from people far and wide and will continue to do so for Book 2.

On November 19, 2022, we will be formally launching the book and copies will be sold at KEEP Liberia’s Annual Fundraising Dinner and be available on Amazon.

Those purchasing tickets for the dinner will be rewarded with complimentary copies.

Truly looking forward to sharing this book project and the full series with the world.
