KEEP Liberia is proud to announce the upcoming Book Festival, a vibrant celebration of literacy, storytelling, learning, and community engagement that will bring together students, educators, authors, publishers, development partners, and book lovers from across Liberia.
The Book Festival is designed to promote a culture of reading while creating opportunities for young people to discover the transformative power of books. Through engaging activities including book exhibitions, author interactions, storytelling sessions, literacy workshops, panel discussions, reading challenges, and educational showcases, the festival will highlight the critical role of literacy in national development and lifelong learning.
Hosted under KEEP Liberia’s mission of empowering children and communities through literacy, education, and opportunity, the festival serves as a platform to encourage reading for pleasure, strengthen literacy skills, and connect young readers with educational resources that can shape their futures.

The festival aligns with KEEP Liberia’s commitment to advancing literacy across the country through reading rooms, book access initiatives, community literacy programs, digital learning opportunities, and educational partnerships. It also provides an opportunity for schools, libraries, publishers, literacy advocates, and development organizations to showcase their contributions toward improving educational outcomes for Liberian children.
Participants can expect a dynamic program featuring:
- Author and reader engagements
- Children’s storytelling and reading sessions
- Book displays and exhibitions
- Literacy and educational workshops
- Student competitions and recognition programs
- Networking opportunities for educators, publishers, and literacy advocates
The Book Festival underscores KEEP Liberia’s belief that strong literacy skills are the foundation for educational success, economic empowerment, and active citizenship. By bringing together readers and literacy champions, the event aims to strengthen efforts to ensure that every child has access to books and the opportunity to develop a lifelong love for reading.
