Volunteer Teachers- The Forgotten Unspoken Heroes Of Liberia’s Educational System

KEEP Liberia stopped by to appreciate the volunteer teachers at the June L. Moore public school in Gbengbar town, Monserrado County.

The school currently has enrolled over 1,000 students with 43 teachers serving these students.

27 of those teachers are volunteer teachers.

As a matter of fact, the entire senior high school is being operated by volunteer teachers.

In 2022, 117 students at the school sat for the regional high school exams. All 117 passed.

As schools have started sitting for the regional exams for 2023, KEEP decided to appreciate the volunteer teachers with a small cash token to say “thank you” for their years of committed dedicated service with a small envelope.

To all the volunteer teachers out there striving to educate our children, we say “thank you yah!”
